Like so many others on this site, I had a problem with ordering a suitcase and a mini on September 9, the first day of their sale. I placed an order and immediately received a message stating that the order had not been successful and to try again. I reordered the same suitcase and lo and behold, both orders went through even though I was told only the second order was processed. I immediately sent an email to Away customer service and received the automated email in return. Luckily, I only received one suitcase in the mail but I was charged for two. I have sent probably 10 follow up emails and have not received any response.
The same day (9/9) I also ordered a mini on sale. I received the correct item but I received 2 of them instead of 1. Again, I sent many emails and have not heard anything back expect for their same ole automated email. I don't know how to return the second mini and there doesn't seem to be anyway to talk to a live person.
I love Away's suitcases and I understand they were overwhelmed by the response to the sale but they have to do a better job with customer service. Seems ridiculous that it's been just shy of a month and I still haven't heard back from them in reply to my many emails.
They will not honor the sale price at 50% off even if they're the one telling customers not to put additional order. Don't even bother telling us to email you guys to make it right because the only thing you're doing is giving 50 dollars credit and 30% off on few items. They will not make it right, they just stopped replying after they can't win the argument. Terrible customer service and company.

The best suitcase I ever used! Easy to organize and can fit way more than expected. The customer service was great too!
An amazing brand for travelers who value efficiency, style, and comfort. They think of every step between walking out your front door up until you return home. The suitcases come in so many great colors and you can fit so much in them!
Great suitcase all around. Got the larger carry on and fits in all over head bins I have traveled with. Good material and very spacious.
I have the carryon with the battery pack, the medium suitcase and one of the travel bags. All are awesome products!
Chose for the safety features that were tested for cars. Sleek looking bag. Dog likes it.
Order, SWIFT shipping. Opening the luggage was like opening an Apple product. the design of everything is perfection. Product quality exceeds expectations. The design is clearly from travelers.
Although a bit more expensive than other brands, the quality, space and overall look of the “bigger carry on” are really impressive. I’m extremely happy with my purchase!
I’ve been looking at an Away bag for over 12 months now. I purchased the Weekender in Navy. At first when it arrived as I was worried it was too big as the box was huge!!! However after using it for two weekend getaways it was perfect. The shoe compartment is the best idea. There are so many little side pockets to the point I thought I lost my keys. The side strap is comfortable with just enough padding and width. Overall I’m glad with my purchase. It’s worth the investment.
WOW do I love this bag. I have an Away store in Chicago near me, so I popped in one afternoon to purchase a Bigger Carry On. The bag itself is phenomenal. Very easy to pack several outfits, cosmetics and shoes (even bulky winter wear!) It’s lightweight and the wheels glide effortlessly. I love the way it’s constructed, as it makes it easier to organize everything to maximize space. Even comes with a laundry bag you can roll up and tuck away until you need it. I imagine once we can all travel internationally safely again that the outlet adapters will come in very handy, too. Couldn’t ask for a better suitcase. A phenomenal purchase!
Only reason why I rated 4 stars is because the customer service was lacking a touch at the store. Luckily, I already had done my research and knew what I wanted. But if i didn’t, I wouldn’t know a thing about the suitcase. I felt quite rushed, and wasn’t really told much about the features. But other than that, no complaints at all!

I purchased the Weekender Bag during the Away sale. It arrived with a zipper that keeps separating. I slide the little zipper pull along the track and it doesn't close. I sent a message the same day to Away customer service with a photo of the issue and a request for help. I got back an automated email saying it might take 72 hours to respond. I waited five days and heard nothing. I sent a second message. It's now been over another week and I have heard nothing.
I ended up watching YouTube videos on how to fix a separated zipper, got a pair of needle nose pliers, and some graphite and tried to fix it myself. It's currently working, although the zipper still runs rough and I have to be very careful and slow in zipping to get it not to separate. My fear is I find myself in an airport with a carry-on bag I have to open and am unable to get it to zip shut for stowing on the plane.
It's now been two weeks of silence from Away. This is really awful customer service. I won't be buying any more from them in the future. Unfortunately, this was a "final sale," so it looks like I'm stuck paying for a bag that's not fully functional.
